Longtime ONE Championship Heavyweight Champion Brandon Vera’s next opponent will be former-UFC fighter Arjan Bhullar, per Asian MMA. The fight will headline ONE Championship’s May return to the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, titled “Code of Honor.”
While Bhullar’s addition to the card was broken on Tuesday, although the date and Vera’s name were previously known. Vera appeared on ONE’s show last Friday in the Philippines to announce that he would return in May.
Vera’s last fight was a loss to ONE Light Heavyweight Champion Aung La N Sang in the Fall. He has held the heavyweight belt since 2015, defending it twice in that time.
Indo-Canadian fighter Bhullar made his ONE debut in October, defeating Mario Cerilli via unanimous decision. He entered the promotion with a two-fight winning streak he started while in the UFC.
