Two rising lightweights in Luis Pena and Khama Worthy will collide on June 27th, per a report from Nolan King and Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie. The fight will join the string of shows set to happen at “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi.
The Ultimate Fighter Season 27 winner Pena will look to get a second-straight win on the board, with his recent victory coming against Steve Garcia in February. Pena has a 3-2 lightweight record in the UFC, along with one win at featherweight.
Worthy, the less UFC-tested of the two, has a six-fight winning streak coming into the show. Having made his UFC debut last August, Worthy stopped Devonte Smith with punches to get a “Performance of the Night” bonus.
