The entire card for UFC 251 was revealed on Thursday via ESPN’s MMA Youtube channel. The card included two previously unannounced matchups.
Marcin Tybura vs. Alexander Romanov
A heavyweight matchup between Marcin Tybura and Alexander Romanov was announced. The fight will be the debut for Romanov, who holds a flawless 11-0 record in MMA.
All of his wins come via stoppage, with his most recent victory coming due to a slam in the first round.
Tybura has an even 5-5 record in the UFC, looking to build off his recent decision win over Sergey Spivak on this show.
Martin Day vs. Davey Grant
Martin Day will make his return to the UFC in July, facing Davey Grant. Day made his UFC debut in late 2018, losing to Liu Pingyuan via split decision. After three cancelled matchups over 2019 and 2020, Day will hopefully step back into the octagon on the 11th.
Grant, his opponent, brings to the octagon a 2-3 record in the UFC. Finalist of The Ultimate Fighter Season 18, Grant will use the momentum from his November win over Grigorii Popov in his upcoming bout.
UFC 251 has three championship fights booked for it, and 12 fights in total set to take place at the Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. Here’s how the show looks so far.
