Montana De La Rosa will return on September 5th as she’s matched with Maryna Moroz. The announcement came via De La Rosa’s Instagram on Monday.
De La Rosa, a strawweight last fought in February where she defeated Mara Romero Borella via unanimous decision. A big headline coming into the show was that De La Rosa fought on the same card as her husband Mark De La Rosa.
De La Rosa has four wins in the UFC, with her three-fight streak from 2017 to 2019 interrupted by a decision loss to Andrea Lee in 2019.
Moroz is the more experienced fighter in the promotion, as she has fought eight times since her 2015 UFC debut. She has won her last two fights with decision wins against Sabina Mazo and Mayra Bueno Silva.
UFC’s early September show now has two fights attached to it, as news previously broke of a bantamweight matchup between Nicco Montano and Julia Avila.
