UFC 252: Sean O’Malley vs. Marlon Vera Play-by-Play

In the co-main event of the evening, undefeated prospect Sean O’Malley was matched with Marlon “Chito” Vera. Here’s how the bantamweight fight went.

Bout 10: Sean O’Malley (12-0) vs. Marlon Vera (17-6-1) (Bantamweight)

O’Malley was connecting with leg kicks early. O’Malley slipped many times late in the first round as an injury clearly occurred. Once the injury became apparent, Vera started to press forward more with strikes. In the final minute of the round, O’Malley slipped, landing on his back on the ground. Vera went down to top position, landing hammerfist strikes and elbows until the referee ended the fight.

RESULT: Marlon Vera def. Sean O’Malley via TKO, Strikes (RD 1, 4:40)
