Undefeated heavyweight Ciyrl Gane will have a new opponent on October 17th, not being matched with Ante Delija. First reported by La Sueur, Delija will replace Shamil Abdurakhimov, who was removed from the card.
The fight joins the 13-fight card which is scheduled to take place on “Fight Island” at Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
It is not known currently why Abdurakhimov was pulled from the fight.
Delija, the former M-1, PFL and RIZIN fighter, will make his UFC debut. His last fight was in November, defeating Oli Thompson in the second round on a KSW card. He has won his last three bouts.
Gane will look to continue his perfect career in the UFC thus far. Gane’s rookie year in the UFC consisted of three wins, stopping Raphael Pessoa and DonTale Mayes, also taking Tanner Boser to a decision last December.
