UFC’s Saturday night card has lost a fight, as Askar Askar has been removed from a bout against Cody Stamann. Per a statement released by the UFC on Saturday, Askar was not “medically cleared to compete.”
The fight between Stamann and Askar was set to happen on the main card of an event at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Askar was set to make his UFC debut in the fight. He took the fight on short notice in place of Andre Ewell.
UFC’s upcoming “Fight Night” card is down to 12 fights in total now. Heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Alexander Volkov are set to compete in the main event of the show.
