Luis Pena To Replace Jai Herbert in February 20th UFC Fight Against Drakkar Klose

Luis Pena has taken the place of Jai Herbert in a February 20th UFC fight against Drakkar Klose. First reported by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting, the new matchup for Klose has been verbally agreed upon by both parties.

Should the fight be officially signed, it will join a card that is set to happen at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Pena’s short-notice booking will be his first appearance of the year. His last fight was in June of 2020, where Khama Worthy caught him in the third round with a guillotine choke. His previous fight was a decision win against Steve Garcia.

Now with a new opponent, Klose will have the goal of returning following a stoppage loss to Beneil Dariush in March of 2020.

It is not known currently why Herbert withdrew from the fight. Herbert, a former Cage Warriors Lightweight Champion, was looking to return after losing his UFC debut to Francisco Trinaldo in 2020.
