Saturday night’s UFC “Fight Night” card has lost a bout, as a matchup between Drakkar Klose and Luis Pena has been scratched from the lineup. One of Klose’s cornermen tested positive for COVID-19, causing the fight to be cancelled, per a tweet from Pena.
The fight was set to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
“I hate this man but it’s with a heavy heart that must inform you guys that the fight has been called off one of Drakkar’s corner tested positive for covid[-19],” said Pena on his Twitter account.
The fight was scheduled to take place as part of UFC’s preliminary card. Both Pena and Klose were looking to return after taking a loss in their last bout.
UFC’s event on Saturday night is still scheduled to have heavyweights Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis in the main event of the card.
