PFL’s six regular-season events have been announced to take place at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA. The promotion will look to provide a “state-of-the-art bubble” that protects fighters from COVID-19, per a statement on Thursday.
The venue will host the promotion’s events from April to June.
The Ocean Casino Resort’s “bubble” format will be similar to ones done by the NBA and NHL during their 2020 seasons. The style of event hosting looks to protect athletes and personnel from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Their promotion’s plans include that athletes will enter the bubble format 17 days before their scheduled fights, allowing them time to quarantine.
PFL is also planning on implementing “daily COVID-19 tests, mask requirements, and [that] fighters will be kept separated in the leadup to their bouts.”
The regular-season events will be done behind closed doors.
PFL’s is scheduled to hold two events in April, presenting broadcasts on the 23rd and 29th.
