Don’Tale Mayes Out of March 20th Bout Against Tai Tuivasa

Saturday night’s UFC card has lost yet another fight, as heavyweight Don’Tale Mayes has withdrawn from a fight against Tai Tuivasa. The cancelled fight was first reported by John Morgan of MMA Junkie.

The bout was scheduled to take place during UFC’s main card on Saturday at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

It is not known why Mayes withdrew from the fight. While we don’t know if Tuivasa will get a new opponent on just a few days notice, the UFC is reportedly looking for one at the moment.

Mayes was aiming to return after picking up his first UFC victory last year against Roque Martinez.

Similarly, Tuivasa was fighting after his last bout, a stoppage win over Stefan Struve, concluded a three-fight losing streak.

UFC’s main event on Saturday night is currently scheduled to be between middleweights Derek Brunson and Kevin Holland.
