Bellator fighter Anthony Johnson was arrested on Saturday in relation to the alleged use of a stolen credit card.

A report from Zak Failla of the Greenwich Daily Voice details that Johnson was arrested and charged with allegedly paying for a round-trip from Newark, New Jersey, USA, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida with someone else’s credit card in November of 2019.

Johnson has been charged with “identity theft, respect from the illegal use of a credit card, and cited for spending less than $500 on a revoked payment card.”

The arrest came just one day after he defeated Jose Augusto in the quarterfinals of Bellator’s Light Heavyweight Grand Prix. The bout was Johnson’s first MMA appearance since 2017.

Per the report, Johnson was taken into custody at Bellator’s current pandemic bubble venue, the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA.

Johnson was arrested on Saturday by the New Canaan Police Department. He has since been released on bail.
