Eight-fight UFC vet Luke Sanders has made the call to retire from MMA.
The 35-year-old revealed his decision earlier this week on social media.
“I’m officially retired,” said Sanders via Instagram. “It’s been a great ride…thank you to all my coaches, friends, Family, and fans[.] All this was for y’all.”
Sanders joined the UFC roster in 2016 after attaining an undefeated 10-fight record on the regional scene. His run in the promotion started strong, securing a “Performance of the Night” bonus for a first-round rear naked choke against Maximo Blanco.
Sanders wrapped up his UFC run with a promotional record of three wins and five losses.
His last fight was in May, where Felipe Colares earned a unanimous decision victory. It was reported that he had parted ways with the UFC following the loss.
