Bellator seemingly won’t be coming back to France for a second show later this year.
The promotion’s November 16th card at the Adidas Arena in Paris has been postponed, per a statement issued by the promotion Thursday.
“Bellator Paris has been postponed and fighters have been rescheduled for later dates,” a statement published this week said. “All previously purchased tickets for Bellator Paris have been refunded. Purchasers will receive a buy one get one ticket purchase opportunity for PFL Europe Championship in Lyon, France on December 14.”
It was previously announced that Bellator Bantamweight Champion Patchy Mix would meet Leandro Higo in the main event spot of the card. Lower in the lineup, France’s Baysangur Chamsoudinov was scheduled to meet Oliver Enkamp at welterweight.
It’s unclear when the two publicly known fights will be re-booked for.
Bellator’s November Paris card is the second show to be removed from their schedule this year. The promotion was expected to host a card later this month in Chicago, Illinois, USA, but told Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie in September that the show would be rescheduled. A few weeks removed from the report, it’s unclear when the card will return to the promotion’s schedule.
Bellator currently has just one event left on its 2024 schedule, a New Year’s Eve presentation at a location that has yet to be announced. While the promotion previously claimed that they would head to Japan for their final show of the year, they have since walked back the announcement and claimed that the location will be revealed sometime in the future.
