It looks like ONE Championship will end up heading to America just once this year.
The Asia-based combat sports promotion planned to make their debut in Atlanta, Georgia on November 8th with ONE 169, marking their third-ever U.S. show and second stop in the country this year. However, the promotion announced Friday that the card has been moved to the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the venue where nearly all of their events have been hosted since early 2023.
The reason for the sudden venue change was “partner obligations in Thailand,” per a press release issued this week. The card is still expected to be headlined by a heavyweight MMA title fight between Anatoly Malykhin and Oumar Kane and also have an appearance from Rodtang Jitmuangnon, although a Muay Thai clash between Tawanchai and Jo Nattawut has been taken off the card.
ONE Championship made its U.S. debut last year, heading to the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado for a live card on Amazon Prime Video. The location served as the host for the promotion’s now-sole U.S. stop this year as well.
The full 2025 schedule for ONE Championship’s flagship content was revealed as part of the announcement on Friday, showing that they plan to host 12 prime-time events next year.
The schedule shows ONE’s continued residency in Bangkok, with a little more than half of the shows taking place in the Thai capital city. The promotion hopes to host a pair of shows in America next year and has two events without a confirmed location at the moment. ONE notably visited Thailand, America, Japan, and Qatar in 2024.
