Kennedy Freeman, the daughter of early UFC star Ian Freeman and rising flyweight prospect, will get her first shot at Cage Warriors gold next month.
Freeman will take on Poland’s Emilia Czerwinska for the promotion’s vacant 125-pound title as part of Cage Warriors 181 on November 23rd, per a recent announcement.
Freeman made her return to action last year, ending a five-year absence from competition. She came back to the regional scene with a bang, stopping Annabruna Rados in the first round with strikes.
“The Machine 2.0” returned earlier this year with another stoppage victory, putting away Brazil’s Gisele Libiano in the third round with strikes to keep her undefeated streak going through five fights. The biggest assignment yet of her career will come in just a few days, competing in a five-round title bout for the first time.
Czerwinska is coming over to Cage Warriors following a four-fight run in the top Polish promotion KSW. She debuted under their banner in 2021 and was able to attain a trio of wins over the past few years.
Along with the upcoming fight also being Czerwinska’s first five-round booking, the bout will be her first time fighting outside of her home country.
Cage Warriors 181 is currently set to be headlined by featherweight champ Harry Hardwick and Brazilian prospect Keweny Lopes. Last week, it was announced that flyweight titleholder Shajidul Haque will also appear in a five-round clash against Nicolas Leblond.
