UFC Middleweight Antonio Trocoli Arrested For Misdemeanor Battery

UFC middleweight Antonio Trocoli was reportedly arrested last week on misdemeanor battery charges in Huntington Beach, California, USA, per a report from Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.

The Huntington Beach Police Department confirmed to MMA Fighting that Trocoli was arrested on the morning of October 4th, and that his case would be sent to the Orange County District Attorney to be reviewed.

The ex-husband of UFC strawweight Mackenzie Dern, Wesley Santos, claims he was the victim in the alleged incident that caused Trocoli to be arrested. In a statement, he alleged that Trocoli, who is now married to Dern, attacked him after he dropped his daughter off at school.

“[I] was going back home on a skateboard when I saw a white car stop, and I started recording,” he told MMA Fighting. “It was Antonio [Trocoli]. He got out of the car and punched me, and the car kept moving [along], and he ran back inside the car. Cops were called, there were several witnesses, and Antonio was arrested for battery.”

Santos alleged that Trocoli had “followed” him in the past, “threatening and disturbing” him whenever he exchanged custody of his daughter with Dern.

Trocoli joined the UFC roster earlier this year, losing a short-notice matchup against Shara Magomedov. He is currently expected to appear at the promotion’s November 9th show.
