Former UFC Fighter, Current BKFC Talent Mike Perry Charged With DUI

Former UFC fighter turned bare-knuckle boxer Mike Perry was arrested last week and now faces a driving under the influence (DUI) charge.

33-year-old Perry was arrested by the Clermont Police Department in Florida on Saturday morning and given two misdemeanor charges: “Driving under the influence and refusing to sign a citation requiring a court appearance,” per documents obtained by MMA Fighting.

A police report mentioned that officers pulled Perry over after he was allegedly going roughly 20 miles per hour over the speed limit at around 1 a.m. on Saturday morning. The officer who confronted Perry claimed that he smelled like alcohol and said that the fighter’s “speech sounded slow.”

Perry, who denied being under the influence of alcohol and countered by saying that the officer’s “speech sounded fast,” allegedly repeatedly refused to take a sobriety test. Due to this refusal, he was placed under arrest and brought to the Clermont Police Department for a breathalyzer test.

Perry was released on Saturday morning after clearing a bond of $1,500.

Perry has become one of the biggest bare-knuckle boxing talents since exiting the UFC roster in 2021. He has been on a roll of beating fellow former UFC fighters as of late, getting past Thiago Alves, Eddie Alvarez, and Luke Rockhold over the past year and a half.

Perry’s success in bare-knuckle boxing promotion BKFC landed him a boxing match against Jake Paul earlier this year, which he lost via sixth-round stoppage.
