PFL 2024 World Championships To Take Place In Saudi Arabia

PFL will head back to Saudi Arabia later this year for their third and final pay-per-view card of 2024.

PFL’s annual World Championship event will take place on November 29th from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as recently announced by the promotion. The event will see all five of the promotion’s main divisions compete in grand final matchups, meeting after competing in a pair of regular season bouts and a semi-final playoff contest.

The announcement underscores the importance of Saudi Arabia to PFL’s current business model. The country’s SRJ Sports Investments company – which is owned by the country’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) – reportedly invested more than $100 million into the promotion late last year, becoming a minority owner of the brand.

PFL has since made the Middle Eastern country a major part of their programming. Earlier this year, the promotion started its calendar year with a “PFL vs. Bellator” card from Riyadh, integrating the rosters of both MMA brands for the first time. This weekend, the long-awaited return of Francis Ngannou will take place in the country as part of a PPV broadcast. And over the course of this year, PFL has hosted a spinoff Middle East and North Africa (MENA) league, which is also expected to see its grand final events take place on November 29th in Riyadh.

Grand final matchups were finalized by the PFL in August through a trio of events in the U.S. Here are all of the championship bouts that are expected to take place next month:

Bout 6: Brendan Loughnane (29-5) vs. Timur Khizriev (PFL Featherweight Championship)
Bout 5: Taila Santos (22-3) vs. Dakota Ditcheva (13-0) (PFL Flyweight Championship)
Bout 4: Denis Goltsov (35-8) vs. Oleg Popov (19-1) (PFL Heavyweight Championship)
Bout 3: Brent Primus (15-3) vs. Gadzhi Rabadanov (23-4-1) (PFL Lightweight Championship)
Bout 2: Impa Kasanganay (18-4) vs. Dovlet Yagshimuradov (24-7-1) (PFL Light Heavyweight Championship)
