Vice To Premiere ‘Dark Side of the Cage’ on January 8

Some of MMA’s most infamous stories will soon be explored as part of a TV series launched by Vice.

“Dark Side of the Cage,” a spin-off of Vice TV’s professional wrestling show “Dark Side of the Ring,” has been announced to premiere on January 8th.

It has already been revealed that the first season, which is under a month away from airing, will include episodes on Evan Tanner, Diego Sanchez, Jon Koppenhaver (also known as War Machine), Nick Diaz, Ronda Rousey, Matt Hughes, Pride FC, and The Ultimate Fighter.

The season will open with an episode on Kimbo Slice, POST Wrestling’s John Pollock has learned.

“Dark Side of the Ring” has been a fixture of Vice’s original programming since debuting in 2019. The show’s in-depth look at prominent stories, providing a balanced look at folklore-ish tales and oftentimes uncovering new facts along the way, has been praised by many. The show has been known for having a strong cast of interviews, plus re-enactments of stories made for TV.

A trailer for the upcoming MMA version of the show suggests it will follow the same blueprint. Among those shown in a recent social media post hyping the show are Ken Shamrock, Georges St-Pierre, Diego Sanchez, Liz Carmouche, and Gary Goodridge.
