Stamp Fairtex vs. Denice Zamboanga Title Unification Bout Set For ONE’s Denver Return

A title clash more than a year in the making will finally take place this summer.

ONE Championship will unify its MMA belts at 115 pounds when they head stateside for the first time this year, as Thai star Stamp Fairtex will take on interim champ Denice Zamboanga. The five-round bout will headline an August 1st card from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, USA.

Zamboanga has been chasing down a title fight with former training partner Stamp for the past year, although out-of-the-cage complications have prevented the bout from taking place previously.

Zamboanga was originally expected to meet Stamp back in March 2024, competing as part of ONE’s first-ever show in Qatar. However, the promotion made the decision to later move the fight to June, where it would go down as part of a show in Bangkok.

The second version of a fight also didn’t come to fruition, although this time, the cancelled bout had much more long-term implications. Stamp had to withdraw from the fight after sustaining a knee injury which would require surgery and prevent her from training—better yet, competing—for months.

The injury derailed large plans for Stamp in 2024, which also included a champion vs. champion fight in September against 125-pound talent Xiong Jing Nan.

However, in that time, Stamp’s future opponent remained active. Zamboanga took a three-round win against Noelle Grandjean last June, competing on the same card she was expected to face Stamp on. Then, in a match which guaranteed a future clash against Stamp, Zamboanga captured interim gold in January with a second-round stoppage win over Alyona Rassohyna.

A win in August would make Zamboanga the first-ever undisputed ONE women’s champion from the Philippines. It would be a new high for her run in the promotion, which started back in 2019 and has spanned nine fights thus far.

Stamp, a Muay Thai talent who has mainly focused on MMA since joining ONE’s roster in 2018, will be returning after nearly two years out of competition when she fights in Denver. The 27-year-old’s last appearance saw her claim the division’s vacant MMA title, earning a third-round finish win against former RIZIN champ Ham Seo Hee.

ONE has made an annual trip to the U.S. since 2023. They visited Denver for the first time last year, presenting a card headlined by Muay Thai stars Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Jonathan Haggerty.
