The Ultimate Fighter Season 27 winner Brad Katona has been released by the UFC, per reports from Bloody Elbow and TSN.
TSN reports that Katona confirmed his release and that he was told about it in November.
Katona fought twice on The Ultimate Fighter, then went on to win the finale against Jay Cucciniello. He lost his last two via decision in late 2019 to Merab Dvalishvili and Huner Azure.
Katona is from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, although moved to Dublin, Ireland to train at MMA gym Straight Blast Gym.
All of his fights within the promotion went to decision.
