ONE Championship has moved their March 20th Vietnam event “Heart of Heroes” to June 26th due to the ongoing COVID-19 virus (also known as the coronavirus).
“After discussing all options with the Vietnam Government, my team and I have decided to postpone,” ONE President Chatri Sityodtong said in a statement on Facebook on Friday.
The event will still be held at the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam when it happens in June.
“I can’t be too too upset because there’s a lot of people suffering from the coronavirus,” said Bi Nguyen on Instagram, who was scheduled to fight Rudzma Abubakar on the promotion’s undercard.
The main card was set to be headlined by two championship bouts. The main event was set to be between Nong-O Gaiyanghadao and Alaverdi Ramazanov for the 145-pound kickboxing title.
In the co-main event, Viktoria Lipianska and Iman Barlow were going to compete for the promotion’s 115-pound Muay Thai belt.
