Bellator 241 To Take Place Without Audience Tomorrow

Friday’s Bellator show from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA is set to take place without an audience due to the threat of COVID-19.

First reported by Matt Erickson of MMAJunkie and later confirmed by Bellator, the event will go on, without the audience that had bought tickets.

Bellator President Scott Coker put out a statement on Thursday night, saying “The health and safety of our athletes, fans and staff are our number one priority.”

Headlining Bellator 241 is a tournament double header in the Featherweight Grand Prix. In the co-main event, Daniel Weichel and Emmanuel Sanchez fight in a rematch to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament.

Main evening the show, Patricio Pitbull fights Pedro Carvalho in another tournament fight. Being the Bellator Featherweight Champion, Pitbull will also be defending his belt in the process.
