Bout 5: Rami Hamed (8-3) vs. Frank Carrillo (10-6) (Welterweight)
Hamed had a clear height advantage over Carrillo. Carrillo was charging forward early, with Hamed throwing shots while backing up. A pause came early as Carrillo was kicked in the groin. While neither fighter was landing visibly damaging blows, Hamed was throwing more strikes.
The second round was a striking battle, with Hamed landing punches while backing up. A cut around the left eye of Carrillo started bleeding, causing a pause. They resumed after a minute or so of a break. They continued their striking battle until the round ended.
The kickboxing continued through the final round. A punch halfway through the round hurt Carrillo, although Hamed didn’t capitalize on it much. Carrillo landed some good punches in the final seconds of the round. Going to the judges, a unanimous decision went to Hamed (29-28, 30-27 & 30-27).
Result: Rami Hamed def. Frank Carrillo via Decision, Unanimous
