UFC’s fight next on June 13th has had small fight announcements here and there, but was announced in full on Thursday evening.
First reported by ESPN, the broadcaster for UFC, the show will be 10 fights in total, with the main card being five.
A Look At The Main Card
The already-known main event was a flyweight clash between Jessica Eye and Cynthia Calvillo.
The previously cancelled match between Marvin Vettori and Karl Roberson will be given another go, with the middleweights being put on the co-main event of the show. The last-minute cancellation of their last fight became hotel lobby beef, which will finally be settled in a cage next weekend.
Coming back for his second pandemic fight will be Ray Borg, this time facing Merab Dvalishvili. Borg lost his last fight to Ricky Simon, ending a two-fight streak of wins. Dvalishvili will enter the octagon on a three-fight stint of wins.
Returning for his first fight since 2019, Charles “Air” Jourdain will battle with Andre Fili. The Canadian fighter, Jourdain, will be returning after a late 2019 win over Doo Ho Choi. Fili’s last fight was a loss to “Super” Sodiq Yusuff.
Kicking off the main card, flyweights Mark De La Rosa and Jordan Espinosa will be paired up. Both fighters will look to end their losing streaks.
The Preliminary Card
Finishing off the preliminary card, Melissa Gatto will make her UFC debut, fighting Mariya Agapova. Gatto has went 8-0-1, getting wins on the regional scene in Brazil.
After a landslide loss to Bryce Mitchell in May, Charles Rosa will return to fight Kevin Aguilar on the prelims. Aguilar has lost his last two, and will look to improve his UFC record to 3-2 come fight night.
A former UFC fighter in Gina Mazany got the call again, returning on June 13th to fight Julia Avila. The pairing fills in for Avila versus Karol Rosa, a fight which has now failed to be booked four consecutive times. The move was first reported by Farah Hannoun and Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
Two flyweights in Ryan Benoit and Tyson Nam will has something to prove on the undercard. Both coming off losses, the fighters will look to get a long-awaited win.
Kicking off the card, Darrick Minner will attempt to come back from his UFC debut loss, fighting Jordan Griffin. Griffin has a chance to even his UFC record, which is currently 1-2.
UFC Fight Night, which is set to happen from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, has a start time of 6PM EDT (3PM Local Time).
