Alessio Di Chirico and Zak Cummings have circled their calendars for August 29th, as that’s set to be their next UFC appearance. First reported by Farah Hannoun and Nolan King of MMA Junkie, the middleweight fight joins the card which does not have a location announced yet.
Both experienced fighters in the UFC and MMA as a whole, this fight is important for both as they aim to return from losses. Di Chirico’s two 2019 fights were not successful outings for him, as he lost a decision to Kevin Holland and Makhmud Muradov.
Cummings’ last appearance was last September, failing to prevail over Omari Akhmedov on scorecards. Before then, Cummings had a guillotine choke win in the third round over Trevin Giles.
Both fighters had previous 2020 bookings against different opponents, however, COVID-19 disrupted their schedules.
The August 29th show has only four fights booked and is still in search of a main eventing bout. Here’s how it looks currently.
Bout 4: Anthony Smith (33-15) vs. Aleksandar Rakic (12-2) (Light Heavyweight)

Bout 2: Sean Brady (12-0) vs. Christian Aguilera (14-6) (Welterweight)
Bout 1: Zak Cummings (23-7) vs. Alessio Di Chirico (12-4)
