Coming back down to light heavyweight, Ovince Saint Preux will fight Shamil Gamzatov on the UFC’s August 22nd event. The news was first broken on the Twitter of Saint Preux, who tweeted a screenshot of his contract.
“OSP” competed in May, fighting to a split decision against Ben Rothwell. The fight saw Saint Preux move up to heavyweight. He will look to get back in the win column, returning back the 205-pound division which he has spent the majority of his career in.
Gamzatov will be wagering his undefeated professional MMA record in the fight, which has been retained for the 14 fights in his career so far. The Russian made his UFC debut last November, winning a split decision over Klidson Abreu.
UFC’s August 22nd show now has four fights, but a main event has not been named. Here’s how the card looks now.
