A fight previously set for early May has a new date, as Ryan Hall versus Ricardo Lamas is now scheduled for August 29th. The new date for the fight was first reported by Marcelo Barone of Combate.
The initial fight between Hall and Lamas was one of the many which did not come to fruition due to COVID-19. It was meant to be on the main card of UFC on ESPN+ 32, a card that was meant to happen at the Chesapeake Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA.
Hall, also known as “The Wizard” has been undefeated since entering the UFC through TV series “The Ultimate Fighter.” Heading into his fifth UFC fight, Hall will be coming off a 13-month layoff, having last fought in July of 2019 against Darren Elkins.
Lamas will look to bounce back from a stoppage loss to Calvin Kattar in this fight. The past few years for Lamas haven’t been the best, as he’s gone 2-3 in his last five fights. Similar to Hall, Lamas will be competing for the first time in over a year.
UFC’s August 29th is still a work in progress, as no main event is scheduled yet for the show. Here’s the five fights that are currently planned for the event.
