A flyweight bout between Tyson Nam and Matt Schnell joins the September 12th event by the UFC, per a report by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.
Nam’s last fight saw him get his first UFC win through three promotional appearances and 31 fights as a pro. Nam stopped former GLORY Kickboxer Zarrukh Adashev in the first round with strikes.
In his fights before, Nam lost decisions to Sergio Pettis and Kai Kara-France. The former X-1 Flyweight Champion will look to get his second UFC win in September.
Schnell will try to get back in the win column as a string of wins was snapped last December by Alexandre Pantoja. Before then, Schnell picked up four wins including a first-round triangle choke win over both Louis Smolka and Jordan Espinosa.
Schnell made his UFC debut in 2016 after competing in season 26 of TV series “The Ultimate Fighter.”
Still early in its stage of construction, the September 12th UFC show only has two fights scheduled. The other fight booked is a flyweight bout between Andrea Lee and Roxanne Modafferi.
