Kicking off the preliminary card was a bantamweight battle between Aaron Phillips and undefeated Jack Shore. Here’s how the fight went.
Bout 1: Aaron Phillips (12-3) vs. Jack Shore (12-0) (Bantamweight)
Shore clinched up with Phillips early, trying for a takedown. They went to the knees as they both tried for takedowns before separating in the next minute. Shore got a takedown in the second minute. Phillips was able to push Shore out of full guard, putting the fight back on the feet in a clinch. Shore pressed for another takedown, getting Phillips down with a minute-and-a-half to go. Shore got on the back of Phillips on the ground and started to throw punches to the side of the head. They got to the feet, with Shore getting another takedown, landing in full guard before the round ran out of time.
Shore was quick to get another takedown in the first minute of the second round. He got on the back of Phillips with three minutes left in the round. Shore put in a rear naked choke that made Phillips tap out eventually.
