Returning shortly after his last win, Tanner Boser returned to face Raphael Pessoa on the prelims of UFC’s “Fight Night.” Here’s how the heavyweight tilt went.
Bout 4: Raphael Pessoa (10-1) vs. Tanner Boser (18-6-1) (Heavyweight)
Neither fighter connected with much early on, although it was clear that Boser was the more active fighter on the feet. Boser opened up with punches a little more later in the round.
Pessoa clinched with Boser in the second minute after catching a leg kick. They separated only moments later. A left hand hurt Pessoa in the eye halfway through the round, causing him to back up and drop with a delayed reaction. Boser landed a series of punches to the covered up Pessoa on the ground until the referee ended the fight.
RESULT: Tanner Boser def. Raphael Pessoa via TKO, Punches (RD 2, 2:36)
