ONE Championship’s second event back from COVID-19 is on Friday morning, as the Singapore-based MMA promotion presents a six-fight card from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Follow along throughout the morning for updates.

Bout 6: Saemapetch Fairtex vs. Rodlek PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym (145 lbs) (Muay Thai Bout)

 

Advancing in ONE’s four-man Muay Thai 145-pound tournament, Saemapetch Fairtex took a decision victory over Rodlek PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym. The victory came after Saemapetch got a quicker start over Rodlek in the three-round bout.

The win was part of a four-man Muay Thai tournament that ONE started on this show. Moving on in the bracket, Saemapetch will face the winner of next week’s bout between Sangmanee Klong Suanpluresort and Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai. The winner of the tournament will go on to face ONE’s 145-pound Muay Thai champion, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao.

Before his victory on Friday, Saemapetch’s previous fight was a loss to Nong-O. Bouncing back with the win, Saemapetch broke a three-fight winning streak that Rodlek had attained in ONE.

Bout 5: Leo Pinto vs. Mehdi Zatout (145 lbs) (Kickboxing Bout)

Zatout Gets Scorecard Win

Getting his second ONE win, Mehdi Zatout defeated Leo Pinto via decision. The three-round fight saw Zatout push the pace throughout, landing the fighter volume of strikes.

Zatout’s first win in ONE was in January, where he got a split decision win in a Muay Thai bout.

Pinto lost his previous ONE fight, as he lost to Adam Noi via decision in January.

Bout 4: Pongsiri Mitsatit (10-5) vs. Akihiro Fujisawa (5-3) (130 lbs) (MMA Bout)

Fujisawa Stops Mitsatit With Left Hook

Akihiro Fujisawa broke a three-fight losing streak on the card, stopping Pongsiri Mitsatit in the first round with strikes. The stoppage came after the second time that Mitsatit was dropped by a left hook within a minute.

Both fighters came into the bout on a three-fight losing streak in ONE. With the loss, Mitsatit got his fifth loss in six fights.

Bout 3: Sorgraw Petchyindee Academy vs. Pongsiri PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym (155 lbs) (Muay Thai Bout)

Sorgraw Gets Scorecard Nod Over Pongsiri

In the third bout, a decision in a Muay Thai bout went to Sorgraw Petchyindee Academy over Pongsiri PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym. The win came after Sorgraw was able to land the higher volume of strikes throughout their three-round battle.

The fight was the second loss for Pongsiri in one, with the loss being against ONE Lightweight Muay Thai champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy.

Bout 2: Yodkaikaew Fairtex (4-2-1) vs. John Shink (3-0) (135 lbs) (MMA Bout)

Yodkaikaew Stops Shink In The Second

Getting his first ONE win, Yodkaikaew Fairtex picked up an MMA victory over the previously undefeated John Shink. Yodkaikaew’s striking was what lead him to victory, as the win came after he stopped Shink in the second round with left hooks to the head.

Shink was able to get takedowns throughout the fight, although Yodkaikaew was quick to stand back up.

The fight was the ONE debut for Shink as well, as previously he picked up three wins in MMA elsewhere.

Bout 1: Huang Ding vs. Fahdi Khaled (135 lbs) (Muay Thai Bout)

Khaled Picks Up Muay Thai Win

Starting the six-fight card, Fahdi Khaled got his first ONE Muay Thai victory against Huang Ding. The scorecard victory saw Khaled keep Huang at a distance throughout and out-strike him.

Khaled had fought once before in ONE Championship, losing in early 2019 to Rodtang Jitmuangnon. This fight was Huang’s main stage ONE debut, as he had previously fought in the promotion’s “Hero Series.”
