Looking to bounce back from his first loss as a pro, Jairzinho Rozenstruick fought Junior dos Santos on the main card of UFC 252. Here’s how their fight went.
Bout 9: Junior dos Santos (21-7) vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruick (10-1) (Heavyweight)
Rozenstruick had a slow first round, not throwing as much as dos Santos, who was not throwing a high volume either. Dos Santos had a few moments in the round where a singular punch would land. A pause came in the final minute of the round after a kick hit dos Santos in the groin.
The second round was much like the second, where dos Santos was very much pushing the pace. A right-cross from dos Santos was the best shot in the round, connecting halfway through the round. Rozenstruick landed a right hand in the fourth minute that made dos Santos walk backwards somewhat. A two-punch combination dropped dos Santos within the minute. On the back of dos Santos, Rozenstruick landed a few punches. Dos Santos tried to work his way back to his feet, but was hit by another punch, dropping him again and ending the fight.
