Calen Born Steps In To Face Dwight Grant on UFC’s August 22nd Show

Stepping in on short notice, Calen Born will make his UFC debut on Saturday against Dwight Grant. News of the new pairing was first confirmed by UFC’s website.

Grant’s original opponent was Jared Gooden, who announced on Tuesday that injury forced him out of the card.

“Sadly I had to back out due to injuries. Y’all have no idea how bad this hurts me,” said Gooden via Instagram.

Born’s last fight was in February, defeating Craig Fairley at Shamrock FC.

Grant will look for his third consecutive UFC win on Saturday, with his previous victories having come against Carlo Pedersoli and Alan Jouban.
