Experienced bantamweights Alejandro Perez and Thomas Almeida will face off in October, as they have been booked for UFC’s October 10th card. News of the matchup was first reported by Carlos Legaspi of Milenio.
Perez, a fighter who has been a part of the UFC since 2014, will look to come back from a two-fight losing streak for the first time in his career when he faces Almeida. His losses came in 2019, facing defeat to Cody Stamann and Song Yadong.
While Almeida also looks to come back from a two-fight skid, he also returns after an extended layoff. His last fight, which was a loss to Rob Font, came back in January of 2018. He will look for a win in October, something he last got in 2016 when he stopped then-undefeated Albert Morales in the second round with punches.
