Play-by-Play:

Bout 1: Lucas Brennan (2-0) vs. Will Smith (3-1) (Featherweight)

Brennan shot for a takedown in the second minute after a minute or so of stand-up. Smith backed up to the cage to resist the takedown, but Brennan eventually got the takedown. Brennan had side control on top. He was moved into half guard in the third minute of the fight, landing elbows and punches from the position. Moving into a nearly complete full mount, Brennan landed punches from above before the round ended.

Just like the first round, Brennan got a takedown in the second minute of the second round. Brennan went back to ground and pound while in half guard. Moving into side control, Brennan threw knees to the body of Smith. Smith landed a flurry of punches after moving into full mount. Smith was warned many times by the referee to get out of the position. Brennen transitioned onto the back of Smith while continuing with the punches. In the final minute of the second round, the referee ended the fight due to punches.

Bout 2: Vladimir Tokov (5-0) vs. Chris Gonzalez (4-0) (Lightweight)

Tokov got a single leg takedown in the first minute of the fight. Gonzalez worked his way back to his feet and returned to stand-up within a minute. Gonzalez landed a punch in the second minute, trying for a takedown from a body lock after. Tokov was able to back up against the cage to resist the takedown. They returned to stand-up with half of the round left. Gonzalez landed a clean overhand right in the final minute of the round. Tokov got a single leg takedown, although Gonzalez moved quick on the ground, getting on the back of Tokov for a moment.

Both fighters connected with hard hooks to the head before clinching in the first minute of the second round. Gonzalez tried for another takedown from a body lock in the second minute of the round, bringing Tokov down eventually while getting ahold of his right leg. Tokov escaped the position in the fourth minute, getting to the feet and returning to striking. Gonzalez landed a hard knee to the body in the clinch. Tokov shot for a takedown in the final minute of the round that Gonzalez was able to stuff. Gonzalez finished the round with a combination of a knee to the body and punch to the head.

Tokov got a single leg takedown for a moment early in the final round after Gonzalez charged forward with punches. Tokov stood up immediately, bringing the fight back to the feet. The pace of the fight slowed down significantly in the final round as fatigue set in for both fighters. Gonzalez had a strong final minute, pressing forward for a takedown after throwing a series of punches. They stood up for the final seconds of the fight. After three rounds they went to the judges to find a winner, a split decision went to Gonzalez (29-28 Gonzalez, 29-28 Tokov & 30-27 Gonzalez).

Bout 3: John de Jesus (12-8) vs. Vladyslav Parubchenko (16-1) (Catchweight 150 lbs)

After a few minutes of stand-up, Parubchenko put de Jesus in a clinch against the cage. There was a fair amount of hesitation in the first round from both fighters. Parubchenko landed an elbow to the head in a clinch in the final minute of the round. De Jesus finished the round with a few punches that landed on Parubchenko.

Parubchenko got a takedown in the first minute of the second round with a body lock. Parubchenko held control on top in full guard. After holding full guard for a few minutes, Parubchecnko passed into side control in the fourth minute. De Jesus escaped the position and got back to the feet. He connected with a flying knee to the head of Parubchenko on the feet. Parubchenko started to bleed shortly after the knee connected.

A timeout came before the third round to check out the bleeding on Parubchenko. They resumed after a doctor reviewed him. De Jesus stopped a takedown attempt in the second minute of the final round. Jabs at the nose of Parubchenko made the bleeding continue in the round. The fighters went into a body lock for a moment in the third minute before separating. Parubchanko was clinching often. He connected with an uppercut in the fourth minute that made De Jesus backtrack. De Jesus landed a series of knees to the body in the final minute of the fight. Parubchenko got a takedown in the closing second of the fight, although de Jesus was able to transition into full mount immediately. After three rounds, the judges selected de Jesus as the winner (29-28, 30-27 & 29-28).

Bout 4: Weber Almeida (3-0) vs. Salim Mukhidinov (7-4) (Catchweight 148 lbs)

Mukhidinov shot for a takedown in the second minute of the fight, although Almeida was able to stop the attempt. Mukhidinov was advancing on Almeida throughout the round with leg kicks. Mukhidinov slipped and fell, catching a leg of Almeida while getting up. He failed to get a takedown while holding the leg of Almeida. A right hook dropped Mukhidinov in the fourth minute of the fight. Almeida continued with punches from above until the referee intervened.

Bout 5: Erik Perez (19-7) vs. Josh Hill (19-3) (Bantamweight)

Hill put Perez against the cage in a body lock in the second minute of the fight. Hill exited the position after connecting with an elbow to the head of Perez. Perez tried for a takedown in the final minute of the round, although Hill was able to stay against the fence and resist.

Hill caught a leg kick in the third minute of the second round, landing a series of punches after letting the leg go. Perez shot for a takedown after landing a punch, although Hill stayed in a clinch. Hill landed a takedown in the final minute of the round after Perez threw a punch. They got up in a clinch moments after. They stayed pressed up to each other until the round ended.

Perez tried for a takedown early in the final round, but Hill was able to stop the attempt. Hill timed a takedown well in the third minute, getting on the back of Perez quickly. Hill tried for a rear naked choke in the fourth minute, although he wasn’t able to get the hold under the chin of Perez. While Perez escaped the choke, Hill tried for an armbar in the closing seconds of the fight. After the fight, all three judges gave the fight to Hill (29-28, 30-27 & 30-27).

Bout 6: Adam Piccolotti (12-3) vs. Sidney Outlaw (14-4) (Lightweight)

Outlaw got a takedown a minute into the fight, moving onto the back of Piccolotti eventually. Moving into full guard, Outlaw kept in control on the ground. Both fighters landed punches from the position. Outlaw stayed on top until the round ran out of time.

Piccolotti got a takedown early in the second round, although Outlaw was successful in the scramble, getting on the back of Piccolotti quickly. Piccolotti was able to keep moving, going into side control. Piccolotti went into full mount, taking the back of Outlaw shortly after. After locking his legs around Outlaw, Piccolotti tried for a rear naked choke. Outlaw was able to turn over and take full guard on top. Outlaw took the back of Piccolotti in the final minute of the round as they stood up in a body lock. They went back down with Outlaw on the back of Piccolotti to end the round.

Outlaw scored a single leg takedown a minute into the final round of the fight. Piccolotti was able to land many punches on the head while Outlaw still had a hold of one of his legs. Dozens of punches from Piccolotti landed before Outlaw let go of his leg. Outlaw was able to take control on the ground after Piccolotti had a minute or so of striking. Outlaw had Piccolotti pressed against the cage on the feet to end the fight. In a split decision, Outlaw got the win (29-28 Outlaw, 29-28 Piccolotti & 29-28 Outlaw).

Bout 7: Yaroslav Amosov (23-0) vs. Mark Lemminger (11-1) (Catchweight 175 lbs)

Amosov landed a combination of strikes in the second minute of the fight that backed Lemminger against the cage. Lemminger went to the ground, with Amosov coming down and continuing with strikes. Lemminger started to bleed once he got to the ground. Amosov landed strikes from half guard until the round ended. In-between rounds, the cut on Lemminger’s face caused the fight to end.

Bout 8: John Salter (17-4) vs. Andrew Kapel (15-6) (Middleweight)

Salter got a takedown in the first minute of the fight, taking half guard on top after. They got back to the feet a minute afterwards. Salter tried for a single leg takedown in the second minute, finishing it after Kapel resisted a little against the cage. Salter moved into full mount in the fourth minute. Salter stayed in control on the ground until the round expired.

Salter got another takedown a minute into the second round. Salter moved into full mount where he tried for an arm triangle for a moment. Salter was able to stay in full mount until the round ended.

Salter was able to get a takedown in the third round, moving into half guard moments after going down. Like in the rounds before, Salter moved into full mount eventually. Trying for the arm triangle choke again, Kapel tapped out.

Bout 9: Valentin Moldavsky (9-1) vs. Roy Nelson (23-18) (Heavyweight)

Nelson shot for a takedown in the first minute, which Moldavsky was able to keep to a clinch. Moldavsky reversed the position, putting Nelson against the cage. They separated and returned to striking with two minutes to go. Moldavsky landed a series of punches on Nelson in the fourth minute, backing him up against the cage.

Nelson was pressed against the cage early in the second round. Moldavsky kept Nelson against the cage for a few minutes, landing punches to the body and the head from the position. The fight stayed in the position until it ran out of time.

Like the second round, Moldavsky placed Nelson against the cage for a fair amount of the final round. Nelson was able to escape the position with a minute-and-a-half to go in the fight. After the fight, all three judges gave the fight to Moldavsky (30-27, 30-27 & 30-27).

Bout 10: Julia Budd (13-3) vs. Jessy Miele (9-3) (Featherweight)

Budd landed a many right hands in the first round that connected clean against Miele. Budd got a takedown from a clinch in the final minute of the round, staying in half guard until the round ended.

Budd landed a strong right hook in the second minute of the second round, although Miele was able to respond immediately with a left cross to the head. Budd got another takedown in the last minute of the second round. From half guard Budd landed elbows to the head.

Budd scored another takedown in the first minute of the final round. Budd was able to stay on top for most of the round, throwing strikes from above. The fighters stood up for the final five seconds of the fight. After three rounds Budd took a sweep on the scorecards (30-26, 30-27 & 30-27).

Bout 11: Ryan Bader (27-5) vs. Vadim Nemkov (12-2) (Bellator Light Heavyweight Championship)

The first few minutes of the fight saw Nemkov have his moments with punches that would graze Bader. Bader scored a takedown in the fourth minute of the fight, going into full guard before standing the fight back up.

A right cross from Nemkov early in the second round connected hard, causing Bader to backtrack. A pause came in the second round after Bader claimed an eye poke occurred. They resumed only moments after the pause. A head kick in the third minute of the fight dropped Bader. Nemkov landed dozens of punches on the ground while Bader attempted to work his way back up to his feet. Bader stood back up and tried running away, but was dropped again by punches moments after to end the fight.
