Two-division champion Amanda Nunes is scheduled to return on December 12th when she faces Megan Anderson. News of the fight, which is set to headline pay-per-view event UFC 256, was first reported by Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
Nunes first won the UFC Featherweight Championship in 2018, stopping Cris Cyborg in under a minute to claim the belt. She has since defended it once, defeating Felicia Spencer at UFC 250 last June. She has also kept ahold of her UFC Bantamweight Championship in this time, defending it twice in 2019.
Anderson has competed in the UFC since 2018, fighting in the very small women’s featherweight division. She currently has a winning streak after defeating Zarah Fairn and Norma Dumont in the past year, with both wins coming via stoppage.
Being the first fight announced for the UFC’s show on December 12th, there are no other bouts scheduled currently. The location of the fight is not known as of right now.
