Looking to continue their respective streaks of wins, Claudio Silva and Muslim Salikhov have been paired up for the UFC’s October 17th card. News of the matchup was first reported by Marcelo Barone of Combate.
The matchup sees both fighters put four-fight winning streaks on the line that they have developed in the UFC.
Salikhov had a rough UFC debut in 2017, losing to Alex Garcia. He has only been successful since though, picking up four-straight wins including a split decision over Elizeu Zaleski last July.
Silva has fought only four times since his 2014 UFC debut, although they have all been wins. He will return after over a year’s absence from action, with his last win being in August of 2019 over Cole Williams.
“I’m ready. Ready to fight again. Ready to silence the doubters. Ready to continue my win streak to the belt,” said Silva on Instagram on Saturday, posting a photo of him signing his UFC contract.
The fight joins a six-fight card which is currently set to be headlined by Brian Ortega and “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung. Here’s the lineup as of right now.
