Last Saturday’s UFC event saw seven winners – four of which were awarded an extra $50,000 for their finishing performances. With no “Fight of the Night” award handed out, “Performance of the Night” awards went to Brian Kelleher, Andre Muniz, Michel Pereira and Ovince St. Preux for Saturday’s event, which happened at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
St. Preux got his win in the co-main event of the evening, stopping light heavyweight Alonzo Menifield in the second round with a left hook. The win saw St. Preux’s return to light heavyweight following a loss at heavyweight to Ben Rothwell earlier in the year.
Pereira’s win was an important one for the Brazilian, as it saw him get back in the win column following two losses. The win saw Pereira stop Zelim Imadaev in the third round with a rear naked choke. While the finish was controversial, it was one that came after a dominating performance for Pereira.
The bonus for Muniz came after he earned an armbar win over Bartosz Fabinski. The win was the second for Muniz since his entrance into the UFC.
Kelleher’s win was a quick one, stopping short-notice opponent Ray Rodriguez in the first minute via guillotine choke. The fight was Kelleher’s fourth of 2020 and was his third that earned him a $50,000 pay bonus.
