Volkan Oezdemir has been pulled from his October 17th bout against Nikita Krylov after a knee injury. Oezdemir announced the injury via Instagram on Thursday.
The fight was scheduled to be the co-main event of a UFC “Fight Night” from “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
“I’ll rest and work on the fastest recovery possible to be back in that octagon ASAP,” said Oezdemir via Instagram.
Oezdemir was looking to come back from his stoppage loss to Jiri Prochazka at UFC 251.
It is not known currently if Kyrlov will get a replacement opponent for his fight.
Krylov last fought in March, taking explosive light heavyweight Johnny Walker to a decision in Brazil.
