Four fighters were given “Performance of the Night” bonuses following Saturday night’s UFC “Fight Night” card from “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Germaine de Randamie, Kyler Phillips, Dusko Todorovic and Luigi Vendramini were all given $50,000 bonuses on top of their previously negotiated fight purses following wins.
De Randamie won in the ninth bout of the evening, catching Julianna Pena in the third round with a guillotine choke. The finish was the first via submission in de Randamie’s career as a pro.
Phillips won his bout on the main card as well, defeating Cameron Else in the second round. Else, a short-notice opponent was stopped in the second with ground and pound.
Todorovic’s win was his UFC debut, stopping Dequan Townsend in the second round with strikes. The win extended Todorovic’s streak of wins to 10-in-a-row.
Vendramini’s returning bout kicked off the card, where he stopped Jessin Ayari in the first round. Dropping Ayari early with a head kick, Vendramini earned his first victory in the UFC.
