UFC Looking To Add Mackenzie Dern vs. Virna Jandiroba To UFC 256

The UFC is looking to add a strawweight matchup between Mackenzie Dern and Virna Jandiroba to the UFC 256 card on December 12th.

First reported by Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting, the matchup is being looked at as the next addition to a card expected to happen in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Dern will attempt to finish 2020 strong, being given the chance to pick up her third win in the year. Dern has had a quick year in the cage, finishing both Hannah Cifers and Randa Markos within a round via submission.

Jandiroba last fought in August, defeating Felice Herrig in under two minutes via submission. Her previous fight was her first UFC win, defeating Mallory Martin with a rear naked choke.

UFC 256 is currently scheduled to have a featherweight main event, with champion Amanda Nunes facing Megan Anderson. Here’s the updated lineup.

Bout 4: Amanda Nunes (20-4) vs. Megan Anderson (10-4) (UFC Featherweight Championship)

Bout 3: Carla Esparza (17-6) vs. Amanda Ribas (10-1) (Strawweight)

Bout 2: Marvin Vettori (15-3-1) vs. Omari Akhmedov (20-5-1) (Middleweight)

Bout 1: Mackenzie Dern (9-1) vs. Virna Jandiroba (16-1) (Strawweight)
