Both coming off of wins, heavyweights Greg Hardy and Maurice Greene fought on Saturday. Their fight went like this.
Bout 9: Greg Hardy (6-2) vs. Maurice Greene (9-4) (Heavyweight)
Hardy caught a leg to sweep Greene in the first minute of the fight. Hardly landed hammerfist punches from top position. Hardy took half guard on top after being on his feet for a moment. Hardy landed some punches and elbows from the position. Hardy got up forcing the fight to the feet with less than half of the round to go. Hardy landed some leg kicks on the feet. Both fighters were quite tired late in the round.
Hardy was warned before the second round to not put his hands over Greene’s eyes while in control on the ground. Hardy dropped Greene a minute into the fight with punches. On the back of Greene, hardly landed punches from the top until the referee stopped the fight.
RESULT: Greg Hardy def. Maurice Greene via TKO, Strikes (RD 2, 1:12)
