Saturday’s UFC “Fight Night” card lost a bout on Sunday, as news broke that a positive COVID-19 test took Felipe Colares out of his fight against Gustavo Lopez. The story was first reported by Rodrigo Juarez of Globo.
UFC’s “Fight Night” on Saturday, which is scheduled to happen at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, will proceed with 10 bouts in total.
The fight was scheduled to be the second UFC appearance for Lopez, a former Combate Americas Bantamweight Champion, who made his UFC debut in June. His debut bout was a decision loss to Merab Dvalishvili.
Colares has fought three times in the UFC from 2019 to 2020. His most recent fight was in January, losing a bout in Montel Jackson via decision.
