Kicking off the evening of action, Gustavo Lopez fought Anthony Birchak in a bantamweight bout. Here’s how their fight went.

Bout 1: Gustavo Lopez (11-5) vs. Anthony Birchak (15-6) (Bantamweight)

A left hook from Lopez hurt Birchak early. He connected with another that dropped Birchak for a moment. Lopez landed a takedown within the first minute of the round. Lopez took the back of Birchak, although he lost it as Birchak got back to the feet. Lopez starting toying with loose tape from one of his gloves in the second minute of the fight. He landed a double leg takedown two minutes into the fight. Lopez took the back of Birchak again, letting a series of punches go from the position. He looked for a rear naked choke in the third minute of action that caused Birchak to tap out, ending the fight.

RESULT: Gustavo Lopez def. Anthony Birchak via Submission, Rear Naked Choke (RD 1, 2:43)
