Undefeated heavyweight Alexander Romanov fought Marcos Rogerio de Lima on the undercard of Saturday’s UFC “Fight Night.” The fight went like this.
Bout 4: Marcos Rogerio de Lima (17-6-1) vs. Alexander Romanov (12-0) (Heavyweight)
De Lima landed a few leg kicks to start the fight. Romanov charged forward for a takedown within the first minute of action. De Lima was able to return to the feet within the minute and land some punches. Romanov clinched with de Lima after being hit with some punches. Romanov was able to score a takedown from the clinch in the fourth minute, taking side control on the ground after. Romanov used his forearm for a choke to de Lima which made him go unconscious, stopping the fight.
RESULT: Alexander Romanov def. Marcos Rogerio de Lima via Submission, Arm Choke (RD 1, 4:48)
