Light heavyweights Thiago Santos and Aleksandar Rakic will battle on a March 6th UFC card, per a report from Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie. The location of the fight is not known currently.
Looking to snap a two-fight skid of losses, Santos will be put up against a rising contender in the division in Rakic.
Rakic put on a strong performance in his last outing, defeating Anthony Smith via decision in August. His previous fight was his first loss in the UFC, dropping a split decision to Volkan Oezdemir. Rakic had four prior wins in the UFC.
Santos had his return fight in November, losing to Glover Teixeira in the third round via rear naked choke. The fight was his first back since losing a title shot to Jon Jones. The title fight in 2019 was a close one where Santos lost a split decision.
The light heavyweight bout is the first fight announced for the March 6th date.
