After winning a fight on “Dana White’s Contender Series” over the summer, Aliaskhab Khizriev will make his UFC debut on February 6th against Wellington Turman. The matchup was first reported by Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.
Khizriev had a quick and strong performance on the “Contender Series,” catching Henrique Shiguemoto in the first minute with a rear naked choke to win. Khirzriev will enter the UFC undefeated as a pro through 13 fights.
Despite saying on the “Contender Series” that he felt uncomfortable at middleweight, Khizriev will make his UFC debut in the division. His previous fights as a pro lower, at welterweight.
Turman lost his last fight, being stoped in the first round by Andrew Sanchez. An October booking for Turman against Sean Strickland was cancelled after Turman tested positive for COVID-19.
