Bout 1: Juliana Miller def. Kendal Holowell via Submission, Armbar (RD 1, 2:49)

Play-by-Play:

Bout 1: Juliana Miller (1-0) vs. Kendal Holowell (0-0) (Flyweight)

Holowell shot for a takedown in the first minute after Miller came forward with strikes. Holowell landed a takedown 30 seconds into the fight, getting full guard on top. Holowell landed a few hammerfist strikes from the top. Miller landed some elbows to the head of Holowell after working up to her knees. Holowell was on the back of Miller as they got back up to their feet. Holowell scored another takedown in the third minute of the fight. Miller was able to transition into an armbar from the bottom, causing Holowell to tap out in the third minute.

Bout 2: Alexa Culp (1-0) vs. Meaghan Penning (0-0) (Strawweight)

Culp was aggressive from the start, clinching with Penning after landing a couple of punches. Penning was able to take control in the clinch, putting Culp against the cage. Penning started to bleed while in the clinch. Culp looked for a guillotine choke while on the feet in the fourth minute. Culp landed a series of punches after Penning escaped the choke. Culp put Penning against the cage in a clinch shortly after losing the choke. Culp scored a takedown from the clinch in the final minute of the round, taking half guard on top. Culp kept control on top until the round ran out of time.

Penning got control on the ground early in the second round after Culp slipped and fell on her back. Penning got on the back of Culp in the second minute of the round. Culp was able to turn around and take full guard on top with just over a minute to go. The referee stood them up with 15 seconds left in the fight. They both connected with some strikes before the round ran out of time.

Penning came forward with wailing left hooks early in the third round. Culp scored a takedown a minute into the round, getting full guard on top. Culp got up, moving back down to the ground on the back of Penning. In a reverse crucifix position, Culp landed some hammerfist punches to the head. Culp got on the back of Penning as they got to the feet, taking her down moments after. Culp moved into full guard on top in the third minute. Penning connected frequently with hammerfist punches while on her back. Culp got caught in an armbar in the final minute while moving down on to the ground. Penning won via unanimous decision after three rounds (29-28, 29-28 & 29-28).

Bout 3: Brittney Cloudy (2-2) vs. Hope Chase (2-1) (Featherweight)</P.

Cloudy connected with strikes in the opening minute of the fight which opened a cut near the left eye of Chase. Chase clinched with Cloudy in the second minute after charging forward with strikes. Chase landed a series of punches in the third minute that backed Cloudy up. Chase scored a takedown from the clinch in the third minute. Cloudy got up to her feet with just over a minute to go in the round. Chase clinched with Cloudy until the round ran out of time.

Chase clinched with Cloudy in the second minute after chasing her down with strikes. Cloudy blocked a judo throw, taking the back of Chase after as the fight went down to the ground. Chase got Cloudy off of her back, taking full guard on top after. Chase got on the back of Cloudy in the final minute of the round. She looked for a rear naked choke from the position, causing Cloudy to tap out with less than 30 seconds to go.

Bout 4: Stephanie Geltmacher (4-1) vs. Caitlin Sammons (3-0) (Flyweight)

Geltmacher was quick to get a slamming body lock takedown on Sammons in the first minute. Sammons got back up the feet immediately, but was pinned against the cage in a body lock. Geltmacher threw punches while holding Sammons in the position. The clinch was separated with a minute to go in the fight. Geltmacher landed an overhand right that dropped Sammons late in the fight. She landed a few follow-up strikes on the ground before the referee stopped the fight.

Bout 5: Kayla Harrison (7-0) vs. Courtney King (4-1) (Featherweight)

Harrison was the more active striker early on. King stopped a single leg takedown a minute into the fight. Harrison put King against the cage in the second minute, landing strikes from the position. They separated with three minutes left in the round. Harrison was able to throw King down for a takedown, taking full guard on top after. An elbow from Harrison cut King, causing her to bleed significantly. Harrison moved into full mount with a minute left in the fight. Harrison threw punches from the position to a very bloody King. Harrison looked for an armbar in the final 30 seconds of the round, although King was able to stop the attempt.

Harrison scored a takedown a minute into the second round, taking full guard on top. The referee stood them up halfway through the round. Harrison was able to land a huge, slamming takedown in the third minute. Harrison moved into side control, taking full mount right after in the fourth minute. Elbows and punches from Harrison caused King’s cut to open again. He continued to land punches from side control, causing the referee to stop the fight.
